It sounds like the doctor made an electronic order through quest, so you wouldn’t need any paperwork. You can always bypass the ID/ insurance card scanner by pressing “I do not consent” If you made an appointment, try to get the QR code or a confirmation code. Ordering of each unique test (QUANTIFERON(R)-TB GOLD PLUS, 1 TUBE, CBC (INCLUDES DIFF/PLT),COMPREHENSIVE METABOLIC PANEL) ***Just logged into my patient portal and in the notes for the appointment, this is what she said she ordered(i have no idea what any of those are): I did check and Quest is In-Network for my insurance. What should even be expecting? How is billing handled for this? Any prior bloodwork I've ever had done was in the doctors office, so I've never paid anything other than the copay for my visit. I wasn't given a specific location by my doctor so I'm assuming the one I picked will know what test I'm there for? The doctor didn't give me any paperwork for it. I set up an appointment on Quests website, earliest available at any of the dozens of locations near me was Thursday afternoon, and I selected "all other tests" as the appointment type. The prior authorization was apparently just started yesterday(on a Sunday?) and will take about 2 weeks so I may not hear from that person for a while. We didn't do any bloodwork before I started on Skyrizi, they just asked for a TB test, which I get done annually at work so I just emailed over a copy. So apparently I am supposed to go to Quest on my own, without any prompting from anyone? I had no idea. So today, having not heard anything else and expecting to have heard something about something, I messaged the doctors office. She said she was sending the request to Quest and that I would hear from their person that does prior authorizations and I was given no further instructions other than she wants a follow up done in 2 months. I can't recall the exact test she wants done, but it was something to check because I've been on the biologic for a year now(see note at bottom of post). Not seeing expected results so I'm being switched to Cosentyx, but first she wants lab work done. So I visited my dermatologist on 9/6, 1 year since starting on Skyrizi for plaque psoriasis on my feet.
